Before the day
What your plan looks like
A few days before the session a photographer sends you a plan on WhatsApp: the route, the time, the light and what to bring. This one is based on a real June morning at the Colosseum, the Forum and the Capitol.
Your plan · Sunday 14 June
- 7:35 The Colosseum, while the road beside it is still empty
- 8:15 The terrace above the Roman Forum, under the Arch of Septimius Severus
- 8:30 The Capitoline Hill: the stairs, then the shade of the portico
- 8:50 Done, before the heat
Sunrise is at 5:33, so the light stays soft until about half past eight. Light colours photograph beautifully against the stone. Bring comfortable shoes and keep the nice ones in a bag.
50 to 70 edited photos in your gallery within a week, clips tonight.

Questions
Rome photoshoot prices: questions
How much does a photographer in Rome cost?
With us, €180 for half an hour, €300 for an hour and €600 for two hours, with a planned route, direction and edited photos included. Weddings and elopements are quoted individually.
Which session should we choose?
One hour for most couples, proposals and families: it covers three or four backdrops in one area. Half an hour suits a single place, and two hours two areas of the city or an outfit change.
How many photos will we get?
About 25 edited photos from half an hour, 50 to 70 from one hour and 100 to 140 from two hours.
Do early mornings cost more?
No. Sunrise sessions cost the same, and they are when the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum are nearly empty.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you know your dates. Spring, autumn and weekend mornings fill first. Travelling soon? Write anyway: we reply within a day.
What if it rains on the day?
We move the session to another day of your trip for free. Light rain can be beautiful too (see a proposal we photographed in the rain), and the Pantheon portico keeps us dry.
