Your Rome photographer, before the city wakes up
We meet you at the Trevi Fountain or the Forum while the tour groups are still asleep, plan the route around the light and tell you what to do with your hands. You leave with the photo of the two of you that a selfie never gets, and clips to send home the same evening.
No payment to ask about your dates · free move if the weather turns

Travelling alone or with friends. The dress you packed for Rome finally gets its moment.
Also: flying dress photoshoots on the Spanish Steps, with the train in the air.
Who’s behind it
Julia & Anatoly, and our Rome team
We started this after coming home from our own trips with four hundred phone photos and not one good one of the two of us. Friends asked us to fix that for them, then friends of friends. Since 2019 it has been our whole job.
We built a team in Rome for one reason: we wanted every couple here to get the morning we’d plan for our own friends.
Your session is photographed by one of our Rome photographers. They shoot this city every week, know which piazza is in shadow at nine, and work the way we do: the same planned route, the same direction, the same gallery edited by hand. We tell you who’s meeting you when we confirm the date.

A real Rome elopement
Five of Rome’s most famous places. Hardly anyone else in the frame.
What we know that a map doesn’t
Our Rome photoshoot route, from Sant’Angelo to Trevi
One real proposal with us: light rain and four stops on foot, from Ponte Sant’Angelo to the Trevi Fountain. We plan your route the same way, around where you’re staying, the light and the crowds. Read the full story.

The start
Ponte Sant’Angelo
He kneels on an almost empty bridge, with the castle and Bernini’s angels behind. We were the tourists with a camera.

10 minutes on foot
Piazza Navona
The first photos with the ring, at the Fountain of the Four Rivers, before the square fills up.

5 minutes on foot
Pantheon
An espresso on the way, then the portico. The columns keep the rain off.

9 minutes on foot
Trevi Fountain
Still room at the water. Two hours later there are rows of people in front of it. Trevi Fountain photoshoot
The ancient route
The Colosseum at sunrise, then the Forum from the Capitoline Hill, where the arches catch the light.
The river route
Ponte Sant’Angelo, the castle and St Peter’s Square. We check the Vatican calendar and access rules for your date.
The evening route
Trastevere and the Orange Garden in the last hour of light, when summer mornings are too early.

Why a photoshoot in Rome
You’ll walk past the Pantheon four times this week. Once, make it count.
Rome is the easiest city in the world to photograph and the hardest one to be photographed in. Every square is beautiful and every square is full. People come home with three hundred pictures of fountains and one blurry shot of the two of them, taken at arm’s length.
We give you the one that’s missing: both of you, in Rome, looking like yourselves.
This is for you if
- You’re here on honeymoon, for an anniversary or on your first trip together
- You’re planning to propose, or getting married in Rome in a small ceremony
- You’d rather be told where to stand than asked to “act natural”
Probably not, if
- You need a studio, lighting setups or heavy retouching
- You want every landmark in one hour. We choose three or four that suit the light
- You’re set on noon in August. We strongly recommend sunrise or the last hour before sunset

Questions
Questions before your Rome photoshoot
What time do we start?
Usually around sunrise, or in the last hour before sunset. In summer our sessions usually start between 7 and 7:30, while the squares are still quiet. It’s early, but it’s the only way to have Trevi or the Spanish Steps to yourselves, and the light is softer on faces. Our guide to sunrise and sunset times has the exact hour for your month.
Can you photograph a surprise proposal?
Yes, it’s one of the things we do most. We agree the spot and a signal in advance, wait nearby like any other tourist with a camera and start shooting as you kneel. After the yes we stay for relaxed photos of the two of you.
Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?
Yes: ceremonies, elopements and the photos after the town hall. Every wedding is quoted individually, so send us the date and the plan and we’ll send you the packages. See our elopement photography in Rome.
What if it rains?
We move the session to another day of your trip for free. Light rain can also be beautiful in Rome: wet cobblestones, umbrellas, empty squares. See a proposal we photographed in the rain. You decide.
How many photos will we get?
About 50 to 70 edited photos from a one-hour session, fewer from half an hour and more from two, plus behind-the-scenes clips the same evening.
Is the Trevi Fountain still open for photos?
Yes. Since February 2026 the area right by the water has a €2 ticket from 9am (from 11:30 on Mondays and Fridays). Before that it’s free, one more reason we start early. See Trevi tickets and hours.
Can we shoot at the Vatican?
St Peter’s Square, yes, outside papal audiences and large events, when parts of it close. Professional shoots inside the basilica and the Vatican Museums need official permission, so we plan your photos on the square and around it, and check the calendar for your date.
What should we wear?
Shoes you can walk in over cobblestones, and colours that sit well against warm stone. A short guide with examples arrives a few days before the shoot, and our guide to what to wear in Rome covers every season.
