Questions
Family photoshoot questions
How long should a family session be?
Half an hour is plenty for toddlers. With older children an hour lets us cover two or three places without rushing.
What if the kids don’t want to cooperate?
That’s normal and it’s fine. We don’t ask them to pose; we play and follow them, and the best photos usually come from exactly those moments.
What should we wear?
Coordinated, not matching: two or three soft colours that go together, and comfortable shoes. We send a short guide with examples, and there is more in our guide to what to wear in Rome.
Can we bring a stroller?
Yes, but Rome’s cobblestones are bumpy, so a carrier is easier for little ones. We keep the route short either way.
Can grandparents join?
Of course. Multi-generation sessions are some of our favourites; just tell us how many people will be in the photos.
What’s the best time for a family session?
Early morning. The light is soft, the squares are quiet and it’s cool enough for kids, especially in summer.
